About our family
Since in 1908, Pero Family Farms has been growing and selling fresh produce with the unparalleled passion and pride you expect from a 5th generation farming family.
Still today, our quality vegetables are the source for variety, convenience and naturally nutritious plant-based foods with a fresh taste that’s superior to others and never genetically modified. We believe the choices we make about what we eat, where it comes from and how it’s prepared have a direct and powerful impact on the health of our families and the environment we depend on. That’s why we work hard every day, on the land we love, to grow and package the most wholesome and delicious produce that’s easy to prepare at home and share with family and friends throughout the year.
Pero started with a modest farm in upstate New York owned by Sicilian immigrant Peter Pero. Growing a variety of berries and vegetables, they provided local produce to the community.
